A Perth mum and daughter made a parasol fit for a Queen. It changed their lives

The 2024 Royal Visit is almost here, and we can’t help but reminisce about the incredible moment in 2015 when one of our Sun Bella parasols was gifted to the Duchess of Cornwall (now Queen Camilla)!

It was a true pinch-me moment for our little mum-and-daughter business. Seeing a product designed by Jillian in the hands of royalty felt surreal!

That moment marked the beginning of Sun Bella’s evolution—from a small ‘Sunday market’ business where we packed every order ourselves, to a growing brand with systems in place to keep up with demand. It pushed us to make some big changes, and we haven’t looked back since!

So, welcome King Charles and Queen Camilla! And thank you for being part of our journey back in 2015—you helped pave the way for where we are today!
